Pikes Peak Bike Tours response and actions concerning Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)
Our hearts and thoughts go out to the people who have been affected by this unprecedented event and we appreciate the healthcare workers, local communities, and governments around the world who are on the front line working to contain this coronavirus. Please know that we are vigilantly monitoring the COVID-19 situation around the clock and have precautions in place to ensure your safety as a guest of Pikes Peak Bike Tours (PPBT).
In light of the facts concerning Coronavirus (COVID-19), PPBT altered our offerings.
We are currently running all tours. For our van supported tours we are running van at 1/2 capacity and require all riders to wear masks while in the van.
We take standards for hygiene and cleanliness very seriously and are taking steps to ensure the safety of our guests and associates. PPBT has been closely monitoring the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), World Health Organization and the Colorado Department of Public Health statements regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
In response to this crisis, PPBT is taking the following steps:
Cleaning and disinfecting protocols. On a daily basis we disinfect all areas that our guests may visit. This includes all common areas in the shop, bathrooms, our vans, helmets and bikes.
Hygiene reminders. We have CDC posters displayed in our shop to remind our guests and associates to practice improved hygiene.
Private Tours. If you have a group of four or more, we will offer private tours – with a van dedicated to your group. Please contact us for details.
Other items. We have decided to discontinue the practice of loaning warm clothing and the rental of our warm gloves as these items are more difficult to sanitize. If you need warmer clothing, a Walmart is located 6 minutes from our shop. We will be selling gloves at our cost for the Bike Pikes Peak and Gold Camp rides. We do have PPBT logoed sweatshirts available for purchase.
